Today Is National Canadian Film Day, So You Should Check Out These Homegrown Movies
'Maudie'
Today is officially National Canadian Film Day, and while you can't spend it munching popcorn alongside your friends in a packed movie house, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate. The most simple way of all is, of course, by watching a Canadian movie in the comfort of your own home.

Canadian independent film distributors have banded together to curate a watch list of Canadian movies that they've simply dubbed the Canadian Collection. The series of films will be available to rent or buy via Rogers, Bell, Apple TV, Telus and Cineplex Store today.

In addition to the Canadian Collection, the National Canadian Film Day organization has a lengthy list of Canadian films that are available to stream. You can check that out here

Further, as previously reported, National Canadian Film Day will be celebrated with a livestream from 6 p.m. ET until 10 p.m. ET. Guests for the livestream include Atom Egoyan, Colm Feore, Mina Shum, Philippe Falardeau, Vinay Virmani, Patricia Rozema, Emily Hampshire, Peter Keleghan, Mary Young Leckie and Don McKellar.

The livestream takes place on YouTube and at canfilmday.ca.
